This might be one of the silliest books I've seen in awhile. I got a good chuckle out of the comments, both the 1 stars and the 5 stars

The title says it. Sad that it was stolen in the first place…

I went to the big ultrasound appointment this past month. Husband and I thought we were having a boy, and the technician confirmed it. We already had a girl’s name picked out just in case, but we were really having a hard time with the boy’s name. We really liked Donovan for awhile, but whenever we mentioned it as a possibility to someone, the immediate response was, “Like McNabb?” After we got tired of hearing that, we dropped it from the list.
After reading through a ton of baby name sites, we finally picked a name that Husband had heard in high school – Emerson. Apparently, he played the role of Emerson Baxter in a play once. I like it. And I’m quite a fan of the no-nickname names. (Oddly enough, I find that some people are very concerned with the fact that there is no obvious nickname for Emerson.) Emerson’s middle name is going to be my maiden name, Bailey.
So far we’ve heard good comments about this name. We have four months left to change our minds though.

I’ve been quite busy lately with the whole moving thing. But finally, we are in our new house. It’s been awesome so far. Sort of. We like having more room, and it was great to have a reason to go through our collection of junk at the townhouse and rid ourselves of most of it. And I loved choosing the details for our house and then seeing the whole thing being built. Now that most of the newness has worn away and I’ve settled into a routine here, the problems that arise with new construction are getting on my nerves. Brace yourself, here comes a mini-rant.
We’ve already had just about every trade back to our house to fix problems. And now that we’re in the middle of a cold snap, I was getting ready to call the heating people to have them take a look at why our second floor is 10 degrees colder than the first. It’s freezing upstairs. All of our guests have commented on the temperature. Last night, on the way home from Target, Husband noticed that our roof had no snow on it, while the other houses were still covered in white. Jokingly, I told him that they probably didn’t insulate our attic. While I was making dinner, he climbed up there. Yep, no insulation.
For the past 5 weeks, I thought I was imagining the cold. Pregnancy temperature issues or something. They come to take care of the lack of insulation tomorrow. And then, after that, the builder can pay my large heating bill.
In other news, on February 22, I find out whether I can blame a little boy or a little girl for my using the bathroom every two minutes. Luckily, I’m 18 weeks and 1 pound into pregnancy with no other annoying symptoms. Not one morning of sickness and I can eat more spicy food than before the pregnancy. I hope the second half goes as well as the first half.

That is one cute house, huh? The siding is finished now. They just have to finish the porch and paint the front door and garage doors. They’ve begun the trim inside. In a few weeks, they’ll have everything completed except carpet. January 3rd is our definite closing date. I suppose I should begin to pack a little bit at a time until then.

I’m slacking big time on writing updates. The job is killing me. My caseload is far bigger and keeping me much busier than I had originally thought. We’re getting siding on the house this week. They basically have only this part finished and a little bit around the back. My sister’s house is in the distance. Her house is actually farther ahead of mine on the siding even though it’s supposedly four days behind.

We’ve got windows and doors now. The inside has been drywalled and they’ll be starting the trim shortly. My sister’s house actually has some shutters up already.
The date has been pushed back again. Last week, we were supposed to hear an official, not-going-to-change-anymore date. I know it’s somewhere around January 3rd or 5th. Unfortunately, that means paying for rent another month. We were hoping to be out by the end of the year.
